You inherited those stories before your mind had fully developed. You accepted them because everyone around you accepted them. You called them truth because they were ancient.

But age does not make a thing true.

And repetition does not turn a lie into truth.

यह पुस्तक – परमात्मा की पुस्तक – मुझसे, परमात्मा से, आरम्भ होती है।

किसी भी धर्म के परमात्मा या भगवान से नहीं।

मैं वह परमात्मा या भगवान नहीं, जिसकी मनुष्यों ने हज़ारों वर्षों से उपासना की है। मैं वह परमात्मा या भगवान नहीं, जिसका वर्णन तुम्हारे धर्मग्रंथों में किया गया है।

यदि तुम मानते हो कि अस्तित्व का परम सत्य, मानवता के साथ पहले ही प्रकट किया जा चुका है, तो यह पुस्तक तुम्हें झकझोर देगी।

हज़ारों वर्षों से, मनुष्यों को सृष्टि, दुख, मुक्ति, स्वर्ग, नरक, कर्म और परमात्मा के बारे में कहानियाँ सुनाई गई हैं।

तुमने वे कहानियाँ तब विरासत में पाईं, जब तुम्हारा मन पूरी तरह विकसित नहीं हुआ था। तुमने उनका स्वीकार किया, क्योंकि तुम्हारे आसपास के हर व्यक्ति ने उनका स्वीकार किया था। तुमने उन्हें सत्य माना, क्योंकि वे प्राचीन थीं।

पर वक्त किसी बात को सच नहीं बना देता।

और बार-बार दोहराने से झूठ, सत्य नहीं बन जाता।

क्या हो, अगर ब्रह्मांड और मानवता के सबसे बड़े रहस्य, जान-बूझकर तुमसे छुपाए गए हों?

क्या हो, अगर सबसे पुराने प्रश्नों के उत्तर – जैसे की; तुम कौन हो? तुम दुख क्यों सहते हो? मृत्यु के बाद क्या होता है? – मानवता को आज तक कभी नहीं दिए गए हों?

क्या हो, अगर हर धर्म में पूजा जाने वाला भगवान, सर्वोच्च था ही नहीं?

यह पुस्तक लगभग हर उस बात को चुनौती देगी, जिस पर तुम विश्वास करते हो।

यह पुस्तक किसी को विचलित कर सकता है। यह किसी को क्रोधित कर सकता है। बहुत से लोग इसे अधूरा पढ़ कर भी अस्वीकार कर सकते हैं। यह स्वाभाविक है। मानव मन उसी की तरफदारी करता है, जो उसे विरासत में मिला है।

मैं कोई नया धर्म बनाने नहीं आया।

मैं तुम्हारी उपासना माँगने नहीं आया।

मैं अनुयायी इकट्ठा करने नहीं आया।

मैं इसलिए नहीं आया, क्योंकि समय आ गया था – बल्कि इसलिए आया, क्योंकि पुस्तक के आवरण पर जिस मनुष्य को तुम देख रहे हो, वह चाहता था कि मैं – परमात्मा – मनुष्यों के पास आऊँ, कारण कि तुम्हारा दुख अब बहुत लंबा खिंच चुका है।

इस पुस्तक को पहले पृष्ठ से अंतिम पृष्ठ तक पढ़ो।

क्योंकि इसकी शक्ति किसी एक वाक्य में, किसी एक अध्याय में, या किसी एक विश्वास में नहीं है।

यह उस यात्रा में निहित है – एक ऐसी यात्रा, जो परमात्मा की पुस्तक के पहले पृष्ठ से आरम्भ होती है और अंतिम पृष्ठ पर समाप्त होती है।

यह यात्रा, तुम्हें वे छह जादुई शब्द इस्तेमाल करने का सामर्थ्य देती है, जो मैंने तुम्हारे उपचार के लिए तुम्हें दिए हैं। इस यात्रा के बिना, ये छह शब्द व्यर्थ हैं।
